What if your garden held secrets?

Pages & Petal invites you into the gentle rhythm of a plant cultivator's life, where mundane days hide extraordinary moments. Your basil might shimmer with inner light, your mint could fizz with magical properties, and that mysterious customer might be nobility in disguise.

This isn't about grinding stats or epic quests. It's about:

  • The satisfaction of watching something grow (literally - your plants mature day by day)
  • Unexpected encounters that turn ordinary market days into memorable stories
  • Creative problem-solving when storms destroy your crops or cats steal your seedlings
  • Building a world one journal entry at a time

Perfect for:

  • Writers seeking gentle creative prompts
  • Anyone who finds peace in routine with surprise
  • Solo gamers who want stories that unfold naturally
  • People who've ever felt the quiet magic of tending something living

Roll a die. Plant a seed. Write what happens next.

Lovely theme.

Some feedback:

  • Doesn't mention how many plants and/or coins you start the game with
  • Doesn't include a printable sheet to mark your plants, coin, days, etc. on
  • None of the D12 roll tables are numbered so you have to count manually any time you roll a plant, event, or customer.
  • It says you can sell plants for more if they are rare, but it isn't mentioned anywhere how rare each plant is and there are no haggling mechanics.
  • It says " When a plant reaches its required number of days, it is mature and ready to be harvested. " But  it isn't mentioned anywhere what the required number of days is for each plant
  • The tables could be better formatted so that 1 D12 table fits onto 1 page, which will be easier to use in play.
  • The text and formatting look an awful lot like ChatGPT.
  • I played a game until I got all the achievements which took me 32 game days. I ended with 91 coin, having only spent to buy the greenhouse and watering can upgrade. I had an awful lot of cat burglars and pots falling, perhaps it would be nice to have an upgrade in the store to make it 50/50 if you lose a plant or not.

Thank you for taking your time for trying my game

I asked a friend for formatting PDF

I can't believe he used chatgpt 💀

It's probably cuz of this that a lot of things are missing

I should've checked the pdf before publishing it, I'm sorry :/

No worries, it was fun testing out your game :) Thank you for sharing it!

There’s a lot of good stuff there in the game, I might try implementing this into a roleplaying game I’ve been playing as a herbalist.

Let me know if you ever decide to update the PDF, I might give it another go! Good luck 🍀
